Checklist link: Northern Cardinal (Cardinalis cardinalis)
As part of the great backyard bird count event, I managed to get a semi-decent soundbite of a Northern Cardinal recorded. It’s not as easy as one might think to get a sound clip from a feeder cam. Most of the time the birds are eating and being decently quiet. I found a vid with a good song on it though. I submitted my checklist as well. Most of the usual faire today, sparrows, finches, cardinals, and juncos. There is a very bright house finch that was at the feeder. I took several pictures of the bird and wanted it to be a purple finch pretty badly. It isn’t a purple finch though, just a house one.
