One, I purchased this product in February. I got sidetracked with other obligations and put doing reviews to the side so this product just sat in my pantry until now, nine months later. This product expired next week, so I just missed the expiration. I really enjoy seaweed snacks, so I was hoping I would love this product. However, I was doubtful because this wasn’t a product I could just take out of the bag and eat. I didn’t really want to cook it at all since I am not familiar with kombu recipes and was feeling too lazy to look some up. On a whim, I got out a can of chicken and dumplings soup from the pantry. I tore up some of the kombu, put it in the bowl with the soup, and heated it up for a minute in the microwave. I was very pleasantly surprised. I loved the salty flavor it added to the soup. I didn’t taste any hint of stale flavor at all, and it became soft right away. This is a definite purchase again. I love soup and sometimes it needs something different added to it.
