Lactose Free Green Valley Creamery Organic Sour Cream Review

Green Valley sour cream was thick and creamy as one might think. I thought the taste was palatable and it mixed very well in the recipes I used. I prepared it in two different refried bean dishes, and it cooked up as expected with no issues. The product has a nice coloring to it and the smell isn’t significant. It is higher fat content, but it doesn’t bill itself as light or fat free. I enjoyed the product enough that I will purchase it again.

That being said, this was a product that I purchased back in February, almost 10 months ago. I had a job that ended up taking up most of my time for most of the spring, summer, and fall, so I didn’t get around to eating it until now. I thought the shelf life was very decent for an all-natural product. The expiry on this package was June 2024, so I still have six more months. It didn’t have any taste of oldness or a product that was nearer to the expiry than not. The oats themselves cooked up well, there wasn’t any clumpiness or uneven texture. I ate it with sugar free maple syrup and was satisfied with the flavor that I didn’t need anything else with it.
