I purchased the NextLevelFit Smart Kitchen Scale- Digital Weight Grams and Oz Food Scale with Nutritional Calculator for Weight Loss, Accurately Track Calories & Macros with Bluetooth Fitness App (White) from Amazon. If you want this item as a standalone food scale, the item works great. The white version is simple and elegant. I love the display as it is very easy to read. It works like other scales I have used. Off/On and zero button is on the right of the circle, and units button is on the left of the circle. The display is bright and it’s a nice color blue.
I like that the circle displaying the weight is off to the side rather than in the front or middle. It makes weighing something bigger a little less of a hassle. The max weight of this scale is 11 lbs. It’s not for use if you do a ton of cooking, but it works for most basic personal purposes.
Now for the app part. I agree with the rest of the reviewers that the app could use some improvement. It’s a little difficult to navigate and set up. The Bluetooth on my phone picked up the scale right away, it was under the name SWAN. It needed to be paired in the app though. It was my understanding of the directions that the app would pair immediately with the scale when the app was opened. However, there was no notification of this action in the app itself. When I went to add a food, I pressed the scale button after searching for an item. It did pair with my phone and I was able to track that food item. I wish that the scale would just pre-pair with the scale upon initial app use like most products with Bluetooth do. The scale has to take time and connect each time a food is measured and logged. It’s a little cumbersome.
I would recommend this product for the scale part of it. If you are interested in the app part, there are better products out there. The actual hardware is fine and if you don’t mind clunky software then it would work. To use the software without ads requires a subscription which is also a little bit of a frustration but if you don’t mind seeing ads then it also works. I probably wouldn’t purchase this scale again because I need one with a higher max weight capacity, but if I were in the market for a smaller scale, I would consider it. amazon listing
