The sightings of the common raven, the black-billed magpie, and the rock pigeon were not at the feeder. They were instead at the Alaska wildlife conservation center. I found it interesting that some of the users of the ebird sight take birding trips and report their sightings, rather than localizing to a single feeder like I have been doing. So, when my husband and I went to visit AK, we went on an excursion to the conservation center. These were the birds in the wild, as opposed to the birds they had caged up. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen all three of these birds in the midwest, but it was neat to see them when I was trying to take a few pictures of something.
