First of all, Stacy and I went to the midnight showing of Twilight last night here in Morris. We’ve been playing a lot of the Vampire Wars game on Myspace and Facebook. Stacy has always been a fan of vampire movies and books. So we decided what the hell and went last night.

Midnight showings are usually more fun. The diehards are the ones that are out at midnight to watch the movie. They’ll dress as the characters. They’ll applaud and cheer and boo and it will just make for a fun environment. We got there and the lobby was packed. I mean packed. It pretty much sold out two screens…there was a few open seats in our theater but not many.

Unfortunately, I saw no one really decked out in Vampire gear. There was a couple of goths and one female sort of looked like she might have dressed up for it but it appeared to me more like it was how she always dressed.

The movie was much better than I thought it was going to be. It wasn’t great but it wasn’t as fcking awful as I thought it was going to be after I saw the trailer. Maybe it was the low expectations. Either way, we enjoyed it.

Tomorrow I get to realize one of my dreams. Tomorrow, I meet Ric Flair.

I will be in awe. I will be flustered. I will be as happy as can be.

Ric Flair is my all time favorite wrestler. When I managed, I tried to be a cross between Bobby Heenan and JJ Dillon because they managed Flair. I used to buy all the Apter magazines just to read the Flair articles. I always dreamed of being the dirtiest player in the game and being a limosuine riding, jet flying, kiss stealing, wheeling, dealing son of a gun. I wasn’t athletic enough or anywhere near good enough to do that. But tomorrow, I get to talk to the guy that made me want those things.

I’m going to be sure to get a picture or two. Chris Candido was also a huge Flair fan. He always called me JJ because he tried to make the Fannin Family into a modern day Horsemen so he could be the Flair of the group. It’s a shame that I can’t get a picture with Chris in there too.
