April Bloodshowers is in the books. I have a couple of cuts on my shoulder from the barbed wire. I have one less black dress shirt as grandma threw it in the garbage because the way it was cut and ripped couldn’t be fixed.
Needless to say, it wasn’t a very enjoyable show for me. I only got 1 account (thanks Sox) so my quota is still looming over me for this month and I have a lot of days off for coming especially when I go to Nashville with Stacy for her half marathon and then to Louisville for a few hours while she goes to see Avenue Q with her friend from high school and a bunch of her friend’s gay friends. I’ll sit that one out.
I’m still trying to get the funds to buy a car. I’m not happy with sharing a car with grandma. It confines me to the house too much because I feel bad just leaving her stranded at home without any transportation. She doesn’t really go anywhere but I don’t like the thought of her not having the option to do something if she chose to do so. I’m still waiting on the GAP insurance to pay the rest of my car loan from the Malibu. Then I might be able to consider looking into something when I don’t have that loan hanging over my head.
I spend a lot of time just thinking about my debt and how I got into and it just makes me not like wrestling at all even though wrestling can only be blamed for about 65% of the debt not counting the car loan. That is still a high percentage. Throw in all the lectures especially of late from my grandma pertaining to wrestling and well it is A LOT of headaches.
I’m trying to convince Stacy to move in to my house. I don’t like her living so far away from me and the way that it sometimes leads to going over a week at a time without seeing her. I don’t think she would mesh well with grandma’s way of doing things but perhaps it could work. She has school though and it would be ridiculous for her to commute over an hour each way every day to go to school when she already lives right there in DeKalb. There is the fact that grandma and cats don’t get along and Stacy’s cats aren’t going anywhere without Stacy. So maybe one day the obstacles can be overcome and something worked out.
Stacy and I are going to see Jeff Dunham in Peoria on May 4th. I’m really looking forward to that. I absolutely loved his latest stand up special. “I will kiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiilllllllllllllllllllllllll you.”
The weekend after that is Brent Blades wedding. He will become a husband and then a father later this year. Kudos and congrats. Several years ago when we were playing Midnight Bingo every night…that didn’t really seem possible for either of us. Glad he is happy.
I will finish up this rambling all over the place blog with the following:
Sunday we went to a buffet in Utica at the Starved Rock Lodge at 1 pm. On Easter we went to a buffet at the Grand Bear Lodge in Utica by Starved Rock. I don’t like buffets in Utica on Sundays. They tend to think that people want to eat fcking breakfast at 1 pm or 3 pm in the afternoon. Breakfast is from 7 am to about 10 am at the latest. Breakfast sucks. It can’t get to lunch/dinner food fast enough for me but yet in Utica, they think that people want breakfast all day long. I am a much bigger fan of the buffet in Colchester when we went to visit Stacy’s grandpa a few weeks ago. Country Fried Steak on the buffet. Mashed potatoes. Corn. Real food. Food I would eat…a lot. Stacy’s dad joked that the manager called wanting to send a bill due to all the country fried steak I ate because they undercharged me. So avoid Utica buffets and hit up the buffet in Colchester…unless you are one of the people that actually eat breakfast food at 3 pm and the reason why the buffets suck in Utica.
Good day.
