Merry Christmas everybody

I wanted to get on here and wish everyone a Merry Christmas.  Yes, I said Merry Christmas.  If you don’t celebrate Christmas, insert your own damn holiday and don’t whine about it.  I refuse to be politically correct and say Happy Holidays.  (Yeah more or less that is directed to Sox who I know will be a whiny liberal bitch about my Merry Christmas greetings!)

I went out to eat with my friend Chris this afternoon and then we went to Menards because he wanted to get a few things in their Christmas sale (44% off since it was the 22nd and then tomorrow will be 46%…that’s double the % off of the date shopping for those of you that couldn’t figure out the math…again that one is for you Sox!)  I decided that it was time to get into the Christmas spirit and to quit moping around.  I got a huge 7′ white tree for $55 since it was 44% off due to the sale.

Stacy is going to come over tomorrow and we are going to decorate it together.  I’m looking forward to it.  It should be a great time and it will do me good to get into a festive spirit.  I have great friends.  I have an awesome girlfriend.  I have a job with steady income now.  I have my health (except for this damn headache and dizziness that had me in bed at 7 pm tonight until I talked with Ian on the phone for awhile.)  I can’t ask for anything more.

I’ve gotten some great gifts already.  Chris gave me the Ric Flair figure that is Unmatched Fury I believe…vintage 80s Flair in the middle of a strut.  Awesome figure.  I got a great pair of Snoopy pj pants and a gift card to Wal-Mart from my Grandma Dorothy/Aunt Sharon.  I picked out an Everhart art Snoopy wall calendar as my gift from Stacy’s mom plus there will be possibly more.  Nick Maniwa got me Seasons 1 and 3 of The Office.  I wasn’t a big fan of season 1 because Steve Carell’s character was too annoying to me but Season 3 is great stuff so far.  I’ve got one disc left to watch before I’m done with it.  We’ll see what else Santa brings me in a couple of days.

Stacy and I went past a house in Morris the other night that had quite the decorations up.  I thought it was overkill at first until Grandma Dorothy and Aunt Sharon were telling me the story in the Morris paper talking about it and how the guy did the house up like this because of either his daughter or granddaughter that had leukemia and told him to thank the community for their help with the fundraisers and such by putting up lights so he went all out with it.  Here are the pictures I took.

That is the front yard and the roof.  It also has stuff on the side of the house and the entire back yard as well.  It is a corner lot about 2 blocks from the McDonalds and you can see it from quite a distance.  Here is the side/back view of the decorations.

I got a wonderful card in the mail the other day from Brent Blades.  He had some very nice things to say and I now know that his wedding is on May 10th.  Hopefully I can get off that day from work and hopefully there won’t be any IWA shows scheduled for that date.  I would definitely like to be there for that.

The new job is going real well.  I received my first paycheck in the mail today.  It went nice to know that I’ll be having guaranteed money coming in again.  Hopefully I can start paying down on my debts.  That would make for a much less stressed Jim.  I spent my first day in the actual bank on Friday and fared well dealing with the customers and such.  It was a Festivus Miracle!  I don’t work again until the day after Christmas.  I do have to work at 7 am on New Year’s Day though.  That is the bad apart about my bank.  We are open 7 days a week from 8 am to 8 pm.  The only day we are closed is Christmas day.  But it looks like they will be easy to work with on getting dates off as long as I request enough in advance.

Well I feel my headache coming back on so I’m going to go back to sleep.

Again, Merry Christmas everyone.
