I’m fricking going to the Super Bowl!!!!

So I sign on to the computer tonight waiting for Stacy to call to say it was time to head up towards DeKalb.

I get an im saying “I just won an auction for 2 Super Bowl Tickets” from Sox and then the question that made my heart stop. “Do you wanna go?” Fck yeah I WANT to go. No question in my mind that I WANT to go. Question is…can I afford to go? I decide that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity and that questions like that can be answered down the line when I’m rolling pennies for gas money or something. You don’t hesitate at something like this.

Sox and I then spent the next three hours combing over priceline, orbitz, hotels.com and every other site we could think of looking for how we were going to get there and where we would stay. We couldn’t find anything that was a spectacular deal this last minute but we did find something that we finally agreed on that would get us in on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 pm off of priceline. I fill everything out and send in the request and get back a “that package is not available.” Son of a bitch. I tried several others and nothing. They kept selling out. I guess other last minute ticket winners. We finally got in for a package that doesn’t put us into Fort Lauderdale until midnight on Saturday night after a very long layover in Detroit and due to Sox’s work schedule, we have to leave on Monday afternoon and have another long layover in Detroit. No time for other stuff in Florida…just the game. Perhaps I can save myself the bounty money and take out Jimmy Jacobs myself while I’m in Michigan.

I still can’t believe that I’m going to the fricking Super Bowl. I’ve been jealous of my friend Chris for a couple of weeks now and now I have better tickets to the Super Bowl than he does! I tried to go to bed earlier but I was too excited to sleep.

Tomorrow is going to be a great day as well. Stacy and I will be celebrating our five month anniversary with an early valentine’s day present for her. I might take some pictures and post them.

Maniwa is staying with me from after the Plainfield show till I go down to Kentucky for James Christopher’s next round of procedures at the heart doctors in mid February. I am so looking forward to having two weeks to hang out with Maniwa. It has been so long since we’ve done that.

Well I guess that about does it.

Good Day and Bear Down Chicago Bears all the way to a Super Bowl Victory!
