I just received a phone call from the guy who was my roomate for the first semester of my college career. He moved out after the first semester because he was getting married and I haven’t spoken to him since then. We weren’t friends at all and as a matter of fact, he would give me crap about how gung ho I was about politics. He called me to tell me what an influence I was on his life and how he became very interested in politics after getting married. He wanted to know how excited I was about the election results and if I was working in politics. He said how he joined the army and did a tour of duty in Afghanistan. I’m shocked to say the least. I still can’t quite believe that he called. I wouldn’t have thought that I would have been an influence on someone’s life and get a call about it 10 years later. Strange indeed.
To answer his question, yes I am excited about the election results even though I am a million miles removed from that stage of my life. I kept saying how I didn’t care and telling myself that I wouldn’t even watch the results. I was glued to my television from around 9 pm till 2 in the morning. Shaina calling to say that Kerry was catching up helped matters. I look forward to lower taxes the next several years.
Good Day because the Good Guys won.
