I am becoming a big fan of That 70’s Show. OK, I’m becoming a huge fan of Laura Prepon and that makes a show about drugs and Wisconsin watchable to me. The other night, I saw the WWF episode of the show with the Rock, Hardys, Ken Shamrock and that had me laughing. Wisconsin is my second most hated state and for the longest time was my most hated. For some reason, Michigan is the new tops for place that could fall off the face of the earth and I wouldn’t mind at all.
I spent a lot of time hanging out with Mickie and putting flyers out in Indianapolis. I think I drove her crazy and had her wishing she was anywhere but near me but hey what else is new. We ate lunch at Cheddar’s one afternoon and met a female wrestler that used to work OVW named Passion. She talked with us for quite awhile, Mickie had a Japanese wrestling shirt on. I wasn’t too impressed.
I watched some of Can’t Hardly Wait with Jennifer Love Hewitt. What a load of bullshit in the movies that this woman picks. Between this movie and Garfield, she falls for the nerdy dork in both movies. Shit like that doesn’t happen in real life. I am the walking example of that. Hollywood sucks.
James Christopher keeps getting bigger and bigger. He’s over 14 pounds now. I found him the greatest little Snoopy outfit. The next time I’m down, I’m taking a camera and getting a picture with him wearing it. I also got him some onesies that is for baseball, football and basketball. He is becoming quite the chatterbox. I sneezed the other day and scared the crap out of him. He started balling. He was getting fussy with me the other day and I turned on CMT and he watched Sara Evans and Miranda Lambert videos with me without fussing at all.
I watched the season premiere of The Sopranos with Ian. I loved that the rats got what was coming to them. Justice sometimes has a funny way of working like that. One of the mob guys asks Tony if he could retire and leave for Florida. Tony told him “This is the life we have chosen…there is no retiring from this.” It made me think about wrestling and IWA. I had talked with Bull on the phone one of the nights I was gone and we talked about the two times I got to manage him and what a great asskicking duo we made. It made me get an itch to do it again. I loved managing Bull. I even saw an awesome pair of Harley Davidson boots that I could buy and wear to manage him again. Ian and I talked a lot about IWA over the week I was down there. The April 1st show is looking awesome as is the March 24th show. I will be in Plainfield on Friday night since the environment will be shitlist free. Some things are more important like kissing ass and trying to use his friendships to get onto other shows that he doesn’t belong on and hasn’t earned or deserved. It worked once so why not try it again. I guess life is much easier when you don’t have any dignity to worry about. I’ll love seeing Mean Mitch Page again in Plainfield.
I spent a lot of time talking with Joe over the week to. I took him to school one morning, talked one night and then talked quite a bit when driving up to Indy to flyer. We talked politics, crime, world events and then had a conversation about exercising/working out. He is thinking of starting. I told him that I have no interest in that anymore. I tried a year ago to lose some weight in order to impress someone and failed miserably. Now I’ve gone 40 pounds in the other direction since stopping. We all die eventually anyway so why bother trying to be something you’re not. I’m not a workout kind of guy. It didn’t do me any good anyway.
I was watching Mike and Mike in the morning on Friday on ESPN2 and they had Dana Jacobson on the phone as she was going to be at the book signing for the one guy. They talked about how her mom and Mike Greenberg were trying to find a man for her. Too bad the autograph signing was in Washington DC. I would gladly be rejected by her. She makes watching Cold Pizza fun early in the morning on ESPN2.
I hate the Washington Redskins with a passion now. Not as much as Ian does but they are probably #2 on the hate list behind Packers now. They sign Randle El and Archuleta…two guys the Bears needed. Add in those playoff victories in the mid 80s and F the WASHINGTON Redskins. How dare they tarnish the name of my beloved high school. The Bears aren’t going to be anywhere near as good next year since they seem to think that they can just stay pat and not improve via free agency. Blah.
On a sad note, I noticed on my way back to Morris yesterday that JBoys at exit 4 has been replaced by a Mexican restaurant. That J Boys had many great memories for me. Brent Blades, The Mayor and myself would sit for hours in that place after shows in Charlestown and talk and have a great time. Maniwa, Shaina and I would go there after all the Clarksville shows and have a great time. I can’t believe that it has been done away with. Double Blah.
I went to Wal-Mart today and got a Jerry Lawler figure. He is signing autographs in Lexington at the end of April and I think Ian and me are going to go. I have to get the picture of us blown up and have that signed as well. I also bought two DVDs. National Lampoon’s Dorm Daze. I got that one because it has Topanga from Boy Meets World in it. It has to be good if she is in it. The other one is called “Just Friends.” I had to get it just from the cover and the two sentences under the title. “He loves her. She loves him not.” Sounds like a movie I can relate to. I’ll watch them sometime this week and leave my opinion on them in a future update.
Until next time…
