Max Scherzer had a tremendous season for the Detroit Tigers in 2013.  He finished with a 21-3 record and had a 2.90 ERA with 240 strikeouts and only 56 walks.  He helped lead the Detroit Tigers to the ALCS and won the 2013 AL Cy Young Award.  A lot of athletes have gone to getting WWE title belts for different awards/championships and as a joke, MLB tweeted a picture they made of a mock WWE Title Belt to commemorate Max Scherzer winning the Cy Young Award:

Say what you will about Vince McMahon but the man knows a great marketing opportunity when he sees one.  VKM immediately took advantage of the tweet by MLB to announce that he would have the belt made and given to Max Scherzer as well as NL Cy Young Award winner Clayton Kershaw.

The belt has been made and Max has received it because he tweeted a picture of him with the belt:

I think I like the photoshopped design that MLB came up with better but Vince McMahon isn’t going to let an opportunity to have the WWE logo front and center on the belt.

Enjoy your belt Max and good luck in successfully defending it in 2014.

Clayton Kershaw finally posted that he received his WWE title belt and posted a picture of him wearing it while doing the dishes!
