I looked for the Daiya’s Plant-Based Dairy-Free Cheese Mozzarella Shreds at Whole Foods and found it right away. “In general, mozzarella doesn’t have a lot of taste to it anyway, so the fact that this cheese was dairy-free didn’t matter a whole lot in the scope of things. The general nutritional aspects are similar to light cheese so I liked that aspect. It cooked and melted easily. I made it with salsa and it didn’t stand out as having a different or offending flavor. The cheese was just as stringy as regular mozzarella. I wasn’t really a fan of eating it straight out of the bag (nothing really compares to regular dairy mozzarella), but cooking with it was very doable and tasty. If I was cooking recipes, I would consider purchasing this product again. I would also recommend it to my family.”
