I purchased the Kadlun External CD DVD Drive for Laptop, USB 3.0 Optical Disc Drive,4 USB Ports and 2 TF/SD Card Slots, Portable CD/DVD Burner CD ROM External DVD Drive for Laptop Desktop PC Windows 11/10/8/7/XP Linux Mac OS from Amazon and it was delivered in a timely fashion. This CD-DVD drive has a lot of great features. I really like that there is a USB-C and Type-C cord already attached. It is a short cord designed for laptop use, I assume. Any time I travel, it’s always a pain to throw an extra cord into the bag. It’s just something else I have to remember. With the cord attached and tucked away, an extra cord isn’t necessary. None of my newer electronics has a CD/DVD drive, so having a now upgraded version of one is great. The one I had previously to this one didn’t have a place to use an SD card, so the fact that this one does is a plus. There is a card that came along with this product that claims there is an 18-month extended warranty. However, when I tried to fill out the warranty form on the website to register the product, I was having issues. It might have been the website, or it might have been that I waited just after the 14-day mark. Either way, it’s nice that an 18-month warranty is offered, if the company allows the follow-through. I had a lot of issues using this drive. I have a Windows Insider beta version on both my desktop and laptop, so it’s possible that this not-as-well-known-brand DVD drive had something that conflicted with my current software. I also could only get a regular DVD to play and not a Blu-Ray. After re-looking at the listing, it does make a note that the drive doesn’t work with Blu-Ray. That being said, the regular DVD played very choppy. The amount of resources needed for playback should have been fine. I didn’t try more than one kind of software, though, just the one I had installed, which was AnyDVD. I couldn’t get the drive to read the SD card. It might need some software download to do that, but without any extra software download, it didn’t read the card as having anything on it. If I were choosing to purchase an external DVD player again, I’d choose something different since I had issues with this one. I wouldn’t recommend this DVD drive to my family because I’m the only Windows user, and this product isn’t compatible with Apple products. amazon listing.
