Congrats to Clayton Kershaw on throwing a no hitter against the Colorado Rockies on June 18, 2014. It was the greatest pitching performance that I had seen since Kerry Wood’s 20 strikeout performance. Kershaw was an error by Hanley Rameriz away from having a perfect game and he struck out 15 Rockies batters with some pitches that defied logic and physics. Some of those pitches should have been illegal because there was no way in hell that someone could hit them.
The best part of the whole thing though was not how great Kershaw pitched or hearing the legendary Vin Scully on commentary for it…it was the fact that they celebrated on the field afterwards with…BUBBLES!
