Daniel Bryan and Antonio Cesaro are two of the best WRESTLERS in the WWE today.  I had the privilege of working with both gentlemen during their time in IWA Mid-South.  Antonio Cesaro had his first match in the United States at an IWA Mid-South event in Clarksville, Indiana when he was still wrestling as Claudio Castagnoli.  He had an Olympic theme open spliced into Sledge Hammer as his theme song and he came to the ring wearing a suit.  I loved him from the start.  Such an awesome performer and now he is the strongest man pound for pound in the WWE.

I never would have imagined that Daniel Bryan would become as popular and important in WWE as he has.  He doesn’t have the size that has long been the mantra of WWE.  Talent sometimes overcomes size obstacles.  No one works harder.  No one wrestles better.  No one connects with the crowd right now better than Daniel Bryan.

This GIF shows how well the two perform together.  I never followed Ring of Honor but I’m sure they crossed paths a few times over the years between IWA Mid-South, Chikara, ROH, CZW, PWG and the other main independent feds.  I would love to see them get a series of matches against each other in WWE instead of just the occasional once over.  I think a SummerSlam match between these two would be impossible for anyone else to follow.
