Everyone thought that it couldn’t get any crazier than how Game 3 of the World Series ended.  Obstruction? A dumb decision by the catcher to throw it to 3rd base to begin with? It had the makings of a historical ending filled in controversy and second guessing.  Was it the right call?  What would have happened if he didn’t throw the ball?

Well Game 4 came as close as a game could to ending in just as wild of a fashion as Game 3 did.  How about the first ever postseason game in MLB history to end on a pickoff?  With the tying run up to bat.  With that hitter being one of the two hottest hitters in the entire 2013 postseason.  With a batter that was so hot they’ve been calling him Senior Octubre.  Here is what a pinch runner getting picked off 1st base while Carlos Beltran is up to bat looks like:

That just leaves the question…what does Game 5 have in store for a shocking, historic ending?
