Jay Cutler Lowers the Boom

Jay-Cutler-Lays-Out-Steeler

The Chicago Bears are off to a 3-0 start on the NFL season thanks to plays like this from QB Jay Cutler.  The Bears were in control most of the night thanks to defensive TDs by Julius Peppers and Major Wright.  The Steelers had 4 turnovers in all that lead to 23 points from the Bears.  But after a quick 17-0 lead in the 1st quarter, the Bears let the Steelers slowly creep back into the game.  The Steelers had a huge night from Antonio Brown (9 catches for 196 yards and 2 TDs) and were able to eventually make it a 27-23 game in the 4th quarter.

That is when Jay Cutler made this huge scramble for a 1st down and instead of giving himself up and doing a slide, he lowered his shoulder and delivered a huge hit to Robert Golden to end the play.  That led to a big 41 yard completion to Brandon Marshall on the next play and then a 17 yard TD pass to Earl Bennett that put the game away.

Marc Trestman is only the 3rd coach in Bears history to start 3-0.  The Steelers find themselves in a huge hole at 0-3.  A position very unfamiliar with them in the last couple of decades.

BEAR DOWN!
