Infield Fly Rule My Ass

This was the scene at Turner Field after the left field umpire made a very late call of infield fly rule on a ball hit into the outfield that dropped when no one could get to it.  That caused the hitter to be declared out even though no one caught the ball.  The game was delayed for 20 minutes while the grounds crew tried to clean up the field.  The Cardinals, with help from that call, went on to defeat the Braves and advance in the MLB postseason playoffs.  The Braves are officially protesting the game due to that call but there is no chance that Bud Selig upholds the protest.
