The collapse of the Pirates is complete. They went from first place to fourth place. They went from finally finishing a season over .500 for the first time since 1992 to just adding to the streak of losing seasons. Now to add insult to injury, they suffer through being the victims of a no hitter thrown by a guy named Homer. That’s right, Homer Bailey of the Reds tosses a no hitter to put the perfect ending to the Pirates season of broken dreams and dashed hopes. That being said, a big congrats is due to Bailey as he pitched a helluva game. It is the Reds first no hitter since Tom Browning threw a perfect game against the Dodgers in 1988.
