Holidays, rain and snakes

Happy Easter to everyone that is reading this. Of course since I write this at 6:30 pm, Easter is almost over but better late than never so take it and like it.

I went to Joliet today to spend Easter with my mom’s side of the family. I see them on Easter and Christmas except for like my grandma and my aunt that lives with my grandma. I stop by and see them 2-3 times a month. I don’t know very much about what is going on the lives of the rest of the relatives on that side of the family and they don’t know what is going on in mine. We exchange pleasantries at the events and a sentence or two of conversation and that is it. Some of the younger kids, I don’t even know what their names are. I didn’t even really want to go up there today especially with the way that the weather was but since I only see them twice a year as it is, I decided I would go ahead and go. There were quite a few of the relatives that didn’t go however. The two cousins that have gone to the wrestling shows the most did not go. My relatives that live down the street from me didn’t go either.

I don’t even want to imagine how much water is going to flow into the trunk the next time I open it up after all this rain today. I should have just left the car in the garage and watched the Cubs…especially since they won.

I got a message today from Sox. He looked up the location for the restaurant that he has gone to after the Midlo shows that is 24 hours. Therefore, the group outing is a go for after Simply the Best. The invites have been sent and accepted. I’ll see if Ian and Mickie want to go or if they are just going to head back home after the show. I’m looking forward to it. It has the potential to be much better than the karaoke ended up being after the April 1st show.

My grandma and my aunt left for the cabin this morning for a vacation/pay the guy that is remodeling the cabin. I just talked to them on the phone and they got to the cabin safely. They already had started mowing the lawn and my aunt had run over a snake with the mower. Yep that is why I haven’t been to the cabin in probably 3 years and why I won’t be going anytime soon. Iwill stick with Louisville as my spot to visit in Kentucky. I’ve got the house to myself until I leave for Louisville on Wednesday. It feels like forever since I’ve been down there.

I’m really looking forward to this week. I get to see James Christopher and Patti and Ian and Mickie. I get to see Bull Pain. I get to see Mitch Page. I get to see Rollin Hard. I’m going to have to find time to go and see Maniwa and talk about a few things with him while I’m in Louisville as well. Add in the hanging out after STB and well this could be THE BEST WEEK EVER…until next week since every week is the BEST WEEK EVER according to VH1. Perhaps I was channeling Tony Schiavone though with how every week was the Best Nitro ever and the biggest thing in the history of wrestling. Either way, I apologize.

Weather permitting, I will be going to the White Sox game with Chris tomorrow night. It is officially the day of his 30th birthday so he took it off from work so he could go to the game. Gym in the morning and baseball at night. Now I need something to fill the afternoon.

Until next time…
