Isn’t it ironic…edited with a survey stolen from Ken

The past few days have been quite hectic around here. I guess I will start with the events of today and work backwards.

I went out to Wal-Mart this afternoon to buy some new jeans and I saw the original Gambler movie on DVD. I was excited about the find and grabbed a copy. I started to walk out of electronics and got hit by an ironic left hook to the midsection. As I had mentioned in the last update I believe, I had basically relived an experience from high school involving rejection. Well the girl who was rejection #1 in the situation that I was referring to was standing 10 yards away from me today. If God is going to torment me like this, I shall only bring up good memories from the past…not that there is a lot of them or anything. I have already seen rejection #2 out at Wal-Mart several months ago and mentioned it in an update. I had already stated that I wasn’t about to go with the second part of the equation and get the second rejection this time so I don’t know why God felt the need to remind me of what happened in the past. I guess God felt that I needed to be reminded that failure is what awaits me if I try again.

Backtracking, I found out yesterday morning that my Aunt Sharon was in the hospital. I came home and got a call from Patti to tell me that Ian was put into the hospital. My aunt got home last night but is still feeling bad. She was taking herself to the hospital in Joliet and on the way to the hospital, someone tried to turn left in front of her at a light and hit my aunt’s van. Getting in an accident on the way to the hospital…stuff like that can only happen in my family. Ian is still in the hospital and awaiting test results to see what is wrong with him. The doctors think they have it narrowed down to his pancreas or gall bladder.

Last night was a great episode of The Shield. It sucks that I have to wait a week to see the next episode after watching Seasons 1-4 on DVD and just being able to keep watching to find out what happens next.

I bought a case of Pibb Zero the other day. I love Coke Zero. I love Dr. Pepper. I figured Pibb Zero would be great. I was wrong. It is too salty and just leaves me needing more to drink. Damn sodium!

Well I’m heading out to Louisville tomorrow. I’ll visit Ian at the hospital and see James Christopher before riding to Indianapolis with Bull to formulate a plan of attack for Friday.

Until next time…here is a survey to tide you over.
