IWA returns to Morris, IL

We have gotten the go ahead to run the show here in Morris at the Shabbona Middle School on Thursday night, October 13th with a 7:30 belltime.

I’m hyped about this. I think we can pack the place (holds 900-1000) and really make some money for IWA, the boys, Morris Redskins football team, and the local grade school district. The Morris/Minooka football game next week during Corn Festival will have at least 8,000 to 10,000 people at it and we will be passing out flyers to everyone. After the game is the 20,000 people wandering around at the other Corn Fest events and they will be getting flyers. They are going to broadcast it over the radio during the game several times for those wandering around downtown and listening on the radio.

I was watching the game on the Comcast Public Access channel tonight and right after the second half started, the sound went out. Morris ran back the onside kick attempt to start the half for a TD and then R-B fumbled on the first play and Morris recovered and Dergo ran it in for a TD a couple of plays later. 2 TDs in the first minute of the half. Another fumble recovery and another Dergo TD run and it was 3 TDs in the first 4 minutes of the half.

Dergo has 987 yards and 19 TDs in the first 4 games of the year. Yet he still is leaning towards wrestling in college instead of playing football. That kid can make some money playing football.

Brent, here is some info on the Alex Perry for you: 6’6 and 250 pounds and looks to be pretty much solid muscle. I imagine it will be easy for him to get to 280 at least by sophomore year of college and he still might grow another inch. I think Indiana will be getting a real good lineman.

See everyone at TPI.
