Edited entry of damn snow

I just got back from Bloomington. It took almost 2 hours longer than it should have due to the blizzard hitting the Chicagoland area. Blah. Driving wasn’t too bad but I’m used to snow. One guy pulled out in front of me on the way back to the building in Highland to drop off Steve Stone and that caused me to slide around on the snow a little bit but nothing too bad.

The show was fun but I didn’t really get to spend any time with the usual crew. Hell I didn’t even get to say hi to Smart Mark until after the show. I hate getting to shows after the doors are already open.

I tried to buy the John Michael Montgomery cd with “Friends” on it but Wal-Mart in Morris and Meijer in Highland didn’t have it. I was able to get the “That’s As Close As I’ll Get To Loving You” song by Aaron Tippin. It wasn’t quite as good for the theme song as I remembered it to be. It would still work but it definitely doesn’t rate with “Friends.” I don’t think I’ll choose “Friends” as the theme song either though. The last line of the song goes something like “can’t you see that this being friends is killing me…can’t you see that we could never be just friends.” “Rachel” and I can be just friends because something is better than nothing. While it does cause me anguish and some restless nights and my heart and brain to be at constant odds with each other, I don’t think it will kill me. I came across a song that I already had on a cd that might be perfect. Kenny Chesney’s “A Chance.” I think that closely depicts the situation as it stands.

Well since it is 5 in the morning and I’m dead to the world, I’m outta here.

Good Day.
